Some, like the famous Bear Cave of Kletno (www.jaskinia.pl) with its fantastic underground route, are well known all over Poland. Kletno is also the site of a less known underground education route in the old uranium mine (www.kletno.pl). The old gold mine of Złoty Stok greets dungeon explorers (www.kopalniazlota.pl), the Tower of Kłodzko tourist spot gives a taste of mysterious history and military constructions (www.twierdza.klodzko.pl).
The castle of Książ and the Wilczki waterfall in Międzygórze are worth a trip, as is the Wampierzyce temple with it’s monumental facade and baroque interior (www.wambierzyce.pl). Duszniki – a health resort near Kudowa – is a home to the Museum of 18th Century Papermaking with a paper mill which is still running today (www.muzpap.pl). Duszniki are worth a visit during the annual Chopin Festival.
Kudowa attracts music lovers during its Moniuszko Music Festival which has been organized for 50 years every August.
Kudowa is also a fabulous place as a base for a day trip to Prague (about 150 km). One may organize it oneself or use services of a travel agency.
